How to create an S3 Bucket in AWS

This page explains the steps to create S3 bucket in AWS management console.

  1. Login to your AWS Management console and search for S3. Once shown and click on it.

2. Click on the “Create Bucket” button

3. Enter bucket name of your choice and select region. You may copy settings from existing bucket

4. You can configure how you want to block public access to your bucket. Default and appropriate for most of the use cases is “Block all public access”. However you may choose according to your use case.

5. You may choose to enable “Bucket Versioning” and / or “Tags” and / or “Default encryption” and click “Create bucket” Button

6. Bucket is created and displayed at the list
